pete watched videos of women giving birth so he wouldnt pass out in the delivery room when ashlee was giving birth to bronx

pete began writing when he was 17 after a school therapist told his parents all kids like him needed was bootcamp. he wrote to release pent up emotions and anger. also thinking about that makes me mad because like imagine expecting treatment for adhd, bipolar disorder, and anxiety and getting sent to bootcamp

pete left the hardcore scene permanently because he resented the shift from a focus on political activism to a focus on hypermasculinity. he also wanted the music he created to be safely accessible to women

theres a cafe pete frequented in chicago during his college years. the cover of eowyg was shot there and its within walking distance of petes college. its also covered in star wars stickers and i have photos. 

people take the piss out of pete not wanted his songs to become kidz bop covers but he did it bc he didnt want his lyrics watered down and changed to be appropriate for kids, but he also didnt want a song about sex being marketed to children
